MICHELLE COUEY, LICSW  (Owner/Therapist)

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 15 years experience as a therapist and I hold a graduate degree from the University of Alabama.

My passion is working with couples that feel stuck and pulled into destructive patterns.  I help them heal from relational hurt and move towards intimate connection using helpful tools.  My focus is helping couples have strong, healthy relationships and restore the fun in their marriage by rebuilding trust, restoring communication and passion, and resolving pain and conflict.

I also work with adults to decrease anxiety, depression, and home and workplace issues.  I enjoy helping women lead less stressful lives through improving self-esteem and decreasing feelings of being overwhelmed by everyday life.

I am a highly interactive, solution-focused therapist that uses a casual yet professional approach combined with humor and practical advice.  With compassion and understanding, I provide you with the tools you need to make longterm positive changes in your life.

Change can start today!

Personal message:

I have worked as a counselor for many years and so I feel extraordinarily grateful to be able to offer my services to you.  Life can be difficult and, at times, presents unexpected challenges for us all.  Sometimes those challenges are too overwhelming to solve on your own.

Asking for help can be difficult, but it can be the best place to start. Most of my clients wish they wouldn't have waited so long to seek help. Together we can take steps to help you live the life you deserve. I am here to help when you are ready.

AMY HUDSON,LPC,NCC: (Children and Adolescent Specialist)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been providing quality counseling services to those in the Decatur and surrounding area for over 11 years.  I hold a graduate degree from Auburn University in Community and Agency Counseling.

My passion is helping children ages 6 through 18 with emotional and behavioral issues in the home or school setting.  and also work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression and relational issues.  I coach parents by providing tools that empower them to help their child be successful outside of the counseling session.

I've served as an Adjunct Instructor at Calhoun Community College and have experience helping college students work through the transitions and challenges that come with college and career planning.  I've also worked within major industries within the community providing personal and leadership consultation and training on stress management, healthy living and professional development.

I enjoy helping women through the many struggles and transitions that come along with life as a mother, wife or career professional.  Whether you are a working mom, a wife struggling with finding her identity and self-esteem, or a 20 something transitioning from college to career, I have unique skill set that will better equip you to be happy and successful.

Personal message from Kelli:

Life is messy.  We all have a story.  If you are reading this, you may be struggling, as we all can at times.  The thought of seeking counseling can be scary. I strive to make this process as comfortable as possible.  I have a passion to help marriages regain trust, positive communication, passion,  fun, and meaning.   I will not only listen, but provide tools to help you regain control of your life.  Relationships are important, but can be difficult to navigate.  I will help equip you with tools and techniques to improve your life. Take that step to stop "just settling" in your marriage.  I can help you get the marriage you deserve and desire. I also enjoy working with men and women with depression, anxiety or who feel overwhelmed with the demands of work and family.  I encourage you to give counseling a try, even if you have tried it in the past.  If not now, when?  Everyday is the opportunity for a new beginning.
